BALLA BALLA is privately owned and never been chartered. We don't report any grounding, collision or structure repairs. She's built in Epoxy that prevent from risks of osmosis. She's been partially refitted over the last years. She has a brand new engine VolvoD2-40 (40Hp) that totalise 7 hours and very recent sails that been very little use. She's equipped with 3 electrical winches, bow thruster, inverter, new dinghy and outboard etc...Baltic Yachts was founded 35 years ago in 1973 by five men looking to build superior yachts - or superyachts - that would give them the edge over their competitors. Baltic Yachts is now one of the leading names in custom and semi-custom made luxury yachts for sale.

It follows the Baltic tradition of building a very high quality, well-finished yacht for the serious bluewater racing and offshore cruising sailor. Her inherent high stability derives from the Grand-Prix lines of the hull and the new keel construction, with its extremely low center of gravity. The competitive sailors reward: as a stiff boat, the Baltic 40 can carry more canvas longer which, in its turn, delights with higher boat speeds. And the cruising family's profit: the Baltic 40 is a very docile boat. She sails comfortably with less heel, she needs less and later reefing. In keeping with the current trend - away from the IOR rules' influence on yacht design - the Baltic 40 hull is optimized for the IMS. The Baltic 40 has a relatively narrow waterline and shallow hull with full end sections. She carries her beam relatively far aft. This allows a seakindly hull with an increased potential for speed, better handling characteristics and an enhanced value for the ideal distribution of the interior layout volume. Tests have shown that over a ten-year period, conventional lay-ups lose approximately 50 per cent of their original strength. Baltic's high grade epoxy resin in combination with the sandwich construction and unidirectional rovings, will lose less than 5 per cent over the same period of time. The Baltic 40 hull construction reflects the belief that the lighter a yacht is, the more ballast it can carry for a given displacement, which makes it safer, better to handle and gives it a longer lasting value. The hull is FRP sandwich construction using specially designed, unidirectional rovings and high-grade epoxy resins, which reduce the hull weight by some 40 to 60 per cent when compared to traditional polyester laminates. It also increases the panel stiffness by some 200 to 300 per cent. The result is a hull which is lightweight, extremely rigid and well-insulated. It is stronger and has a longer durability. The external fin keel is a new bulbous, high-lift design which increases the stability by lowering the center of gravity without adding weight. This design allows an improved laminar flow and lower drag ratio. The Baltic 40's keel shape has been designed and developed through extensive tank tests and further refined by prototype tests on one-off racing yachts. The rudder is a cantilevered semi-elliptical, balanced spade rudder, matched to the performance potential bulbous type keel. It is constructed of a molded fiberglass shell filled with PVC foam injected into the mould under extremely high pressure. The deck utilizes a NGA-type gelcoat, as does the hull, for color retention, increased resistance to blistering and the typical high-quality Baltic finish. It is hand laid-up in fiberglass with a balsa core for stiffness and minimum weight above the sheer line. An additional option which adds considerable strength, beauty and value to the Baltic 40 is the hand-laid and epoxy-cemented teak deck. The masthead rig's large sail area is designed to take advantage of the Baltic 40's high stability for power and speed. The fore-triangle is relatively small, giving the boat increased balance and ease of sail-handling for a yacht of this displacement and size. The respective sail area proportions are easily controlled, even by the smallest crew. The mast, with its oval section and three spreaders, is optimal for racing and cruising. Navtec discontinuous rod rigging is used to reduce the windage and lower the weight aloft. The boom has a hollow, tapered section. There are two interior cabin layouts available for the Baltic 40. Alternative one is an offshore racing-long distance cruising layout, emphasizing a more open main salon area and lighter weight in the forward sections to reduce pitching. Alternative two is a beautiful cruising version layout primarily designed to give seclusion and privacy to two couples in two luxury staterooms forward and aft.EQUIPMENT LIST: Baltic 40 Optional Equipment Hull - Hull laminate vacuum-bagged, epoxy - Hull painted with Awlgrip - Hull color non-standard, gelcoat - Name and hailing port on transom - Keel - centerboard configuration (draft with board up 5.25 ft.) -  Deck - Deck color non-standard, gelcoat - Teak deck (incl. cockpit coamings and bridge deck) - Deck prism - Gate in lifeline - Sprayhood for companionway - Anchor windlass, Lofrans Airon 1000 with 60 m hot galvanized chain 8 mm and CQR anchor - Swim ladder on transom - Cockpit table - Cockpit cushions with closed cell filling - Floating genoa car system, 2:1, two cars connected Interior - Interior layout with 1 toilet - U-shaped settee to form double berth in salon - V-berth filler in forward cabin - Curtains for side windows - Extra grab rail - Mosquito screens for all openings - Cabin heater, Eberspacher D3L - Refrigerator unit with 12V DC new compressor, water cooled - Electric bilge pump with auto switch - Hot and cold pressure water system with shower and electric sump pump - Holding tank for toilet - Electric vacuum toilet - Shower in cockpit - Shorepower with AC control panel and three AC outlets including 20m. shore connection cable - Automatic battery charger, 50 amp.
