The British shipyard Oyster Marine has been building exclusive, reliable go anywhere cruisers for over 50 years which can be found in the most remote areas of the world. Luxurious, stylish blue water sailing is Oyster's go-to concept that they developed in collaboration with in-house designer Rob Humphreys. The Oyster 575 is a highly versatile model, large enough for comfortable round-the-world cruising or extended stays on board, yet manageable enough for private owners and their families to operate without a professional crew. The shipyard built 66 units until 2018, making the Oyster 575 one of Oyster Marine's most successful models. The ingenious deck layout, the cleverly divided cockpit with two helm stations and a guest area forward, the large tank volumes and storage areas, the high standard of boatbuilder craftsmanship and the high quality technical installations make the Oyster 575 a popular boat for the Oyster World Rally which is a squadron ride around the globe that the shipyard organizes exclusively for Oyster owners.
The Oyster 575 no. #011 on offer was taken over by her current owner in 2019. Technically very experienced, the owner gave this boat an extensive refit for the 2022/2023 Oyster World Rally. This refit included the installation of a new VOLVO PENTA engine, an exclusive NORTH 3Di sail wardrobe, complete switch to B[&]G navigation equipment and a large number of practical modifications both on and below deck. The communication electronics were upgraded with a satellite phone, SSB, two independent VHF radios, Navtex and weather decoders, etc. Even after returning from the Oyster World Rally, the owner has spared no expense and effort to keep the yacht in top condition. The Oyster 575 has spent every winter in indoor winter storage and is carefully maintained and technically serviced on an ongoing basis.
