Magellan ist ein custom built unique yacht which exists one one time in the world. She is a steel boat with semi long keel and with not so spacy underwater oart as usual at steel boats. Therefore she sails quite fast and is very easy to dock in the harbour. In case of much wind she sails stiff and try. Between 2001 und 2005 the whole furniture and the whole electricity was renewed. The Hardtop protects the cockpit and a cockpit tent protect against wind and water. The clipper bow protects the hull during lifting up the anchor.
The ball-bearing mainsail, the electric winches for the genoa- and cutter jib- furler, the bow thruster and anchor remote control makes Magellan to a fantastic easy to handle single hand ship. There is no rust under deck and on deck and this fact causes, that many sailors think, that Magellan is a GRP yacht. Compared to GRP, steel does never become weak and porous and is always absolutely waterproof. Steel is more honest than aluminium because it has a visible kind of rust. It is easier to find a welder for steel than for aluminium. And if once there should be a hole, this part becomes minimum es strong as before after welding.
The solid dinghy is ideal for sharp rocks on shore and it is very easy to row it. That´s the reason for the few engine hours of the outboard engine.
The perfect equipment also with spare parts and tools make Magellan to a ready to go ship for circumnavigation.
Magellan is a character ship which gets attention in every marina and bay as a special beautyfull shipy yacht and gives security and warm protection for its owner.
