Very heavily built cutter. Surprising layout. Suitable for longer stays on board.The hull of this Kruidenier Kotter 12.80 was built and purchased in 1992. The ship was completed under supervision of the current owner by professionals and set off in 1995. The hull was built by Shipbuilding and Repair Company K2 from Raamsdonkveer. This company mainly built hulls for commercialshipping like tugs and workboats, which makes the hull extremely though. The hull is made of at least 6 mm thick steel, with thicker steel being used underwater. The windows in the superstructure are made from 8mm safety glass. The entire ship is insulated.
The engine is a DAF DH825 6 cylinder Diesel with 158 hp and a displacement of 8.27 liters. The engine was purchased in 1993 as a complete overhauled engine from Drinkwaard. The drive train is equipped with a flexible coupling to minimize vibrations. The capacity of the steel fuel tank is 3,000 liters and a day tank of 200 liters has been installed. For maneuvering, the boat is equipped with a side-power bow and stern thruster (24 Volt) which can be operated at the outside steering position. The cutter has a 10 kVa generator based on a Volvo Penta MD 2020 engine.
The freshwater system consists of a 1,000 liter water tank, hot water is supplied by the boiler that heats the water via cooling water from the engine, shore power or the generator.
The minimum headroom of 1.90 meters is in the entire ship. In the stern there is a spacious galley and dining area with a 4-burner stove, a fridge with freezer compartment and a combi microwave. The salon is very spacious and offers a good view to the outside. In the foreship is the wet room on the starboard side, with an electric Sanibroyeur toilet, a shower and a half bath. On port side you will find the guest cabin with a double bed. Entirely in the bow is the owner's cabin with a French bed. The owner's cabin is very spacious due to the hull shape of the boat.
